Accept the Present Situation

Accept the present situation.

A seemingly simple statement. But all too often in life, it isn’t something we do.

All too often, we allow happiness to be dependent upon circumstance. Our minds meander between what happened in the past and what will happen next. And if you’re anything like me, a lot of stuff that never actually happened sneaks in there as well.

The constant creations of our mind hinder our capacity to actually embrace our lives.

So, stop.
Accept the present situation.

Don’t wait for someone, or something, to fulfill you. You fill you. Right now, in this very moment, you are and you have everything that you need.

Be. Breathe.

We can worry and wonder all we want about where we have been and where we are going. But the truth is, that stops us from growing.

The only thing that is real is this moment right now. The past is no longer a reality, but a projection. A moment covered with thought and judgment. The future is imaginary. The present, this moment, this breathe, is all we have.

We can always handle the present situation. We can’t always handle a projected outcome of the future or rewriting of the past because they are not there. All that is real is here.

So, stop.  Cease the constant strife to control circumstance. Stop waiting for a certain situation, stop longing for a person or thing to make you feel whole.

Embrace and be with all that is right now in this moment. Accept your current circumstance. Acknowledge that it is real, right now, in this moment, and that you can handle it, that you are enough.

Accept the present situation.
