“You are but a drop in a wave” are the words that have been lingering in my brain.
A drop reminds me of how small I am. How the worries I build up in my mind, the details of the day, are minuscule in the grand scheme of things. It helps me to let go of the little things, to see the big picture, and to work towards something bigger. As it humbles me, it empowers me. It tells me that though I am but a drop, I am part of a wave, an ocean, something so tremendous and great. That though I am but a drop, collectively, we create something great.
Being a drop in a wave unites me to those around me, and the society, the world, the civilization we collectively make. It unites me to not only humans but to all living things. I am but a drop on this earth, connected to the sky above, and the ground beneath, we are all a part of the very same thing.
What role will I play? What will I create? How will I unite as a drop within this wave?
We are but a drop in a wave.
A drop of the ocean.
A drop of something so vast, so great.
We are all but a drop, of the very same thing.
